Summer is upon us with her full glory and heat, more than ever we feel the need for a refreshing drink that helps us shuffle through the day. Especially when you are from Korea, land of the 아이스 아메리카노, the cravings are overwhelming. You might have realized that Eiskaffe, the literal translation of Iced Coffee, is not quite what you expected when you found vanilla ice cream floating around your delicious cup of cold coffee… Yeah well, sorry ‘bout that.

The concept of coffee on ice is rather new in Germany, every year more cafés are adapting to the rising trend but it’s still more of a Geheimtipp (m, eng.: insider tip).

Despair no more, we of The Koins have taken it upon us to hunt down the best Iced Coffee dealer in Tübingen. Along the tasty and somewhat heart rate accelerating way, we have singled out several promising candidates in order to come to one final conclusion:

Make sure to try all their creations like Iced Latte or Cappuccino Freddo! The Iced Americano comes in a rather small size for the trained Korean eye, but you can easily ask for more water – or you simply give the drink Iced Coffee a go, it’s delicious ;)

By the other way: Do try out other iced coffee offers you come across in Tübingen, taste is known to be subjective (even though critics beg to differ). But Willi’s coffee is definitely of a quality I can reliably recommend and still be able to sleep soundly at night :D
